🔥 Caring for Your Wooden Wick Candle

Wooden wicks burn differently than cotton wicks and need a little extra care for the best experience:

1️⃣ Trim before lighting — Keep the wick trimmed to 1/8 to 1/4 inch. Use toenail clippers or simply break off excess wood.
2️⃣ Light at an angle — Hold the candle at an angle and allow the flame to contact the wick for at least 5–10 seconds to help it catch.
3️⃣ Use a Bic wand or USB rechargeable lighter — Easier than strike matches.
4️⃣ First burn matters — Allow the melt pool to reach the edge of the glass (about 30 minutes to 1 hour) to avoid tunneling.
5️⃣ Trim before each use — Remove excess burnt wood before lighting again.
6️⃣ If the flame weakens — Clear away any ash or charred bits on the wick.
7️⃣ Reuse your jar! — Scoop out leftover wax (never pour down the sink), wash with soap and water, and add fairy lights for a magical new life.
