🔥 Caring for Your Wooden Wick Candle
1️⃣ Trim before lighting – Keep wick at 1/8 to 1/4 inch by using toe nail clippers or breaking off excess wood.
2️⃣ Hold candle at an angle when lighting – Contact wick with flame for at least 5-10 seconds to help it catch fire.
3️⃣ Use a Bic wand lighter or USB rechargeable lighter – Avoid strike matches for easier lighting.
4️⃣ First burn matters! – Allow the wax melt pool to reach the edge of the glass before extinguishing (30 minutes to 1 hour) to prevent tunneling.
5️⃣ Trim excess burnt wood before each burn – Keeps the flame steady and bright.
6️⃣ If the flame gets too low, remove excess ash or burnt wood at the top of the wick.
